  1. Question for anyone that has Netflix.. I currently have Amazon Prime ( mostly for movies ), and Prime seems to add newer movies than most streaming services, but can you tell me if Netflix also adds newer movies that were in theaters recently on a regular basis, or does Netflix add more older movies compared to Prime and HBOmax? Thanks

  2. Freaks, It’s a film about special people that have been ostracised from society that film is pretty good for Netflix. I had to edit the comment to not give too much away lol, if you enjoyed stranger things, chronicle or brightburn you should like it.

  3. Too many kinda weak and/or lame action movies. If anyone isn't just looking for a lot of fast moving, story lacking, there's about 4-5 truly watchable movies on the list

  4. The first four movies have mixed or very negative reviews… didn't watch the rest. I am assuming you started with your strongest points to keep the audience interested in a 30 minute vid

  5. Safety Not Guaranteed – I went in thinking this was stupid, and continued through about half of it, but then it starts to pay off. You have to be a Plaza fan to endure the setup. The ending was awesome.

  6. I've seen several of these already, and I agree with your reviews of them, but why are your review installments not more evenly distributed between genres? I'm getting sick of all the dark violence on Netflix.

  7. 'A Monster Calls' was very good. My spouse and I watched it last week. It affected me more than I realized it would while viewing it. I lost my mother to cancer almost 20 years ago. I would watch it again even knowing the little plot twist.

  8. The Guest is one of those movies where I wish I could erase my memory of watching so that I could see it again for the first time. Not that it has any kind of huge twist ending or anything, but I just wish I could have the whole experience of the movie from a blank slate again.

  9. (As I love time travel stories), I saw the entertaining, underrated "Safety Not Guaranteed" in the cinema when it came out; a year or three I attended a "New Girl" Q&A, afterward telling Jake that I enjoyed the film.

"Oh, so you're one of the three…" he snarked.

  10. Out of these 20 I’ve only heard of & seen 2.

Those are shot caller I give a 7/10.
Interest builds on the main character as his character develops you empathize with him as time goes by, especially if you’ve been incarcerated or had some form of struggle or injustice of major life changing importance you’ll get behind the shot caller. Worth a watch.

The only other one I seen from the list was The Gift and I give it 10/10. The twist, the tension, the slow reveal of key points have the audience second guessing everything, even the twist does so. I haven’t seen it on Netflix Canada in years. I’m going to see if they brought it back because I’ll watch it right this second if it is.

There was one movie I think number 2 on his list that is called the guest, that seems worth a watch and seems to have some similarities to the gift.

If either the guest or the gift is on Netflix in my country imma watch one of them right now.

Thanks guy who made this review.
The way you explained the gift without giving away too much has enabled me to realize you know a good dark movie when you see one.
